What it is
It's your very own app
When a customer launches the app, if they are within range of your location or if they scan the QR code at your location, it will display the content that you've set up.   We provide a customizable platform for creating content targeted to people with mobile devices that are waiting in your line.  It is a form of entertainment for the user as well as a means of collecting feedback.

Interactive Content
You can customize the app however you want using the online management tool. Include your menu, daily specials, drinks, company history, web links or any other kind of information. But that's only the beginning...

Games, Contests & Surveys!

The Waiting Game delivers interactive content in the form of question-answer style games relating to material that is specific to your location.

As you know, too long of a wait results in grumpy customers and antsy kids!

Because you're customer's experience begins the second they walk into your establishment, providing them with the best possible service and an enjoyable experience also includes the time they spend waiting.

How it works
Create a game or survey online
Edit the questions in your online control panel for each game or survey. As users answer them, you can view the results in the reports section.

Access it with a mobile phone
When a user launches the mobile app, the GPS in their phone kicks in and automatically finds the game hosted at your location!

Why it works
Identifying your target audience

In general, people spend a great deal of time waiting in line.  The widespread adoption of mobile devices has dramatically changed how people spend their time while waiting, whether it is talking, texting, checking their email, browsing the Intenet, playing a game or otherwise using a mobile application.  These activities serve to entertain or occupy people’s time, allowing them to become detached from their surroundings and pass the time as best as possible. Bottom line: nobody likes to wait in line.

Give them what they want

With the advent of location aware mobile devices, we now have the ability to get people more involved with their surroundings by providing them with context sensitive interactive content. Provide something proactive to do so the wait doesn't seem as long. Not only does this show that you genuinely care about giving them a better overall experience, but it gets them more closely involved with the offerings of your business.

Get feedback

Most survey and feedback systems focus on soliciting user opinions post-purchase, and rarely give the opportunity to provide feedback during their experience.  Another problem is that consumers rarely fill out surveys post-purchase unless they have had a negative experience.  Establishments routinely offer their customers some type of reward for filling out a survey such as a chance to win money or a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert on their next visit.  Still, these incentives do not sufficiently motivate consumers to make an extra effort to fill out a survey. The Waiting Game is the perfect platform to overcome these issues!

Impact on your bottom line
  • Keep people occupied while they're waiting so they don't go somewhere else
  • Survey information gives you insight into what areas to target for improvement so customers will come back
  • Promote drink specials or the special of the day
  • Word of mouth advertising about how fun it was to play your waiting game
  • Happy customers spend more money
  • Offering incentives "redeemable on their next visit" ensures that customers will return
  • Possibly offering other services through the app such as purchasing gift cards or t-shirts
  • Customers viewing your menu in the app spend less time deciding after they are seated, speeding up table turnaround time

Let's get started!
1. Claim your real estate

The first thing you'll need to do is to set up your exact position so that when people are waiting, they will be able to find your location and the games that you've set up for them. As soon as a user starts up the app on their phone, their GPS kicks in and it will automatically know that they are at your location. So, set up the content that you want to display to the customer such as your daily specials. Note that you can host multiple locations in one account.
2. Make a game out of it

Give them something fun to do! You can add many different games to your location, and each one will show up as an icon on the user's phone. You can change the game type, name, description and icon in the game properties window . You can add all kinds of questions to your game: create trivia questions, I-spy games, riddles, or give clues for a treasure hunt. Just click on the add question icon to create multiple choice or text input questions. Set a point value for each question so the player can rack up a high score. Sprinkle in a few survey questions for bonus points!

3. Ask for feedback

As you are creating questions, you'll notice that some of the options in the edit question window allow you to set it as a "survey" question. This means that the user won't be right or wrong when they answer it, but they will earn bonus points as long as they don't skip it. Note the addition of the "Rate 1-10" question type for survey questions. You can also create a whole new game of just survey questions and offer some other incentives (free dessert or free drink) if they earn enough points by answering these questions.
4. Survey Says...

Use the reports section to analyze the results from all of your questions. Each survey question is displayed with a complete breakdown of the responses. You can also get an overview of how many people participated, total points earned and total points redeemed.
